... maybe it's been fooling around with one of those "Gold Crappie" I remember something said about such a fish, back in one of our discussions. But, it's been a few years ago (2006) ...

that fish is beautiful, wish i had an aquarium to show that fish off.
its probably just a slight mutation in the fish, no big deal and out of the millions of crappie its going to happen once in a while
When in doubt, set the hook.

Pretty fish, but I prefer green chartreuse to yellow chartreuse.

crappiepappy, i remember that golden crappie and thought about it as soon as I saw this post. That flier is cool. Looks like a mix between a crappie, a stripe and a redear. nice looking fish
Maybe an offspring of a black or white crappie mother and a yellow perch dad?:-)
thats awesome!
well it's all been said,
feeley just said it best
It just has no spot or barring pattern on the fins. Unusual but not unheard of. If the spots were there the coloration would be normal. I've painted many of them and would LOVE to be able to start with fins that clean and clear.
