I have went to using wally marshall pro series spinning reels with the quickfire trigger. I buy them onsale for $19.99. Just wish they made it in a rear drag like my Shimano reels. The Shimano reels cost $60-70 each But I like the smaller wally marshall pro series reels better. I like being able to 3 reels for the price of one.

    Default abu garcia!

the new abu cardinal series is really nice. I just bought a couple 100u's from BPS, and I love them. I have been using abu spinning reels for about a year now, and I recommend them to everybody. the previous model cardinal 100's are still avail. and, in my opinion, are 10x better than wally marshall's. they have a very smooth drag, are durable, and extremely smooth reeling. the new series is even better, but $10 more expensive than last years models.

I have bought 2 Shimano Sedona 1500's this year from BPS. I love them. Very smooth.

    Default Shimano & Abu Garcia

Like the last two post I only use the shimano's and abu garcia's. Have some $25 shimano's nearly 10 years old and still work like the day I got them. Cant go wrong with them or the AG's.

I've always used quantum and never had trouble with them. I had one quantum that I used so much that the line bail had so much line abrasion "check the spelling of abrasion" that it wore a place in the metal that was so deep and sharp that it would snap the line. I caught so many fish on that reel that the tension wore down in the metal.
