24V no doubt about it. As of foot or wireless, only you can decide that of how you fish the most. Around 80 thrust will be fine with that setup

I will say this everytime, it's better to have 80 and need 50 than to have 50 and need 80
the terrova is nice I love mine and the I=pilot is a plus.

Had a 55 Minnkota on a boat just like that. I long line mostly and it was plenty. Be sure you have room for 2 batts if you go with the 24v. Some of the alum. boats are not designed to hold 2 batts and a cranking batt. I would not go below a 55 lb.

if you have the money look for a minn kota power drive 24v ..... you dont have to fight the trolling motor on windy days... also if try to make sure is the power drive V2.... you can always add co pilot or I-pilot to it later on

I have a Tracker Deep V 17' and don't have room for a second TM battery, the boat came with a 46# 5 speed foot control Motorguide that I wasn't happy with. I upgraded to a 55# Motorguide Wireless with variable speed and I love that thing!!! Much better battery life and powerful enough for those windy days, and the variable speed will give you that perfect trolling speed. I operate the steering and speed fom anywhere in the boat with the wireless control!

This is something I have been fighting with lately as well. I love the idea of all the features of I-Pilot but I also bass fish a decent amount and it seems like having a hand control would be a pain while you are working a bank. I'm leaning towards this but God knows I change my mind a lot

Edit: Not the same one I was looking at. They had a Brute that was foot controlled, Variable speed and 80lb thrust. Cant find it now for some reason.

With I-Pilot you can use the remote or the foot control.

True. I played around a little bit with the powerdrive and thought the foot control was terrible. The terrova was much better but also more then I wanted to spend at the moment.

    Default Poundage

Currently, I'm leaning towards motorguide 55#,variable speed, 24 volt. I will go to Bass pro this weekend to see what they have.

I had a Minn Kota Maxuum 55lb variable speed 12v on a 1760 Roughneck with 60hp and I loved it. I have always had 12/24v trolling motors even on this same boat before I purchased the Maxuum and have never been disappointed since.

    Good Luck,
