    Default Job

Looking for employment. I was laid off last week because I raised cane about working time and not getting paid for the hours. I have worked as a gauger in the oilfield for about 18-19 years, but would like to venture to something else if I could make enough to pay the bills.

    Any leads would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Warren

There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot. :D

For those of us who don't know much about about working oil rigs, what is a gauger?

    what are your skills?
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark

I take care of oil & gas wells and all equipment associated with them, such as separators & compressors.

Warren; I sure wish you luck! I've been off since Sept and can't even get anyone to look at a resume. I apply for about 20 jobs a week on Rigzone and have been called twice in 7 months. Maybe things will pick up soon.

I went to St Maurice Tues. I only caught 9 and they were all males but one. Their tails still aren't tore up like they are spawning yet.

Marshrat job's are hard to come by in the oil field I have over 30 years and got layed off Feb. 28th. and can't find a job anywhare I was a rig manager for Nabors Drilling co. in North Texas I have tried to get on overseas and haven't had any look thair. If the oil buisness dosen't pick up it is going to be a lot of people in a 9 line bine. My wife left with all the savings just before the lay off. I could have survived if it hadn't ben for that but I guess I will be like a lot of people I will probably sink.

    Good luck
