I went 2 weeks ago and had no luck on shiners or jigs. I discovered that when I put my crappie rig right on bottom, both my shiners would be dead everytime I checked 'em. Not sure if there is an oxygen level problem on bottom or not after hurricanes. The shiners I fished at 5 ft deep were ok. Very strange.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try it on my next visit. Last trip I had no luck in the channel going towards the spillway from east landing. I could see fish on Side Image but no bite.
    Can you smell hot grease?
