Toledo Bend (Shadow's/Big Bass Landing Area)
Hey guys,
I have been putting The Bend off too long. I need to start learning its mysterious ways. I have seen a couple posts about nice catches from the Shadow's Landing and Big Bass Marina area. Any more info on how and where to fish around either one of those marinas would be greatly appreciated.
Also I was wondering if their might be good crappie fishing further north on the lake. I live in Shreveport LA so it would be a pretty long haul to Shadow's and Big Bass but if that’s the hot spot I can get up a couple hours early.

Havent really fished up north........farthest ive gone would be pirates cove........from what ive fished and heard its starting to pick up........as for me i stay in the cove at big bass and go to indian mounds which is on the texas side

I fished out of Shadows Landing for years when the Lake was first open, had a camp thair for several years. This was one of the hot spots on Toledo. But one question I was told that Shadows is now a private Landing if you are not a member you can't fish out of it,have you heard any thing about this????????

Hey I just got back from the Bend and we used shadows landing to fish out of Sat. and we are not a member of any thing to with shadows we paid $3.00 to put down and fished all over the place we talked to the owner and he was very helpfull in telling me were the nearest hospital was because my partner got a hook stuck in his hand and we spent half the day in the hospital pulling it out A word of advice if youy should get a hook in your hand don't cut the hook of short they had to cut him to get it out instead of pushing it through and cutting the barb off.
