Very nice catch. Now stink some grease.
Made my first sac-a-lait trip of winter this year on Friday.....first stop was Saline Bayou by Dry Larto Island.....picked up a few there....moved over to Youngbloods area and found them.....the rest of them were caught off bottom structure (7'-12' deep) ...dont think color mattered cause as i would approach the structure with jig, they would come out from hiding and take it......the two colors that were catching was Monkey Milk (Bobby Garland) and mardi gras in a regular tube jig......cause of the wind i stayed in the area but if i could have, would bet that i could have limited out finding structure and fishing it.....did make a run to Long Branch but wasnt much showing up on electronics and giant salvinia was in areas i want to fish....
Came out with 30 at end of the day....Few of the bigger ones i had...
Very nice catch. Now stink some grease.

Very nice! Great to see a report from Larto. I was just asking Slab Hunter last week if he had heard any reports. Thanks for posting.

I tried them yesterday. Put in at Youngblood’s, fished around there for a couple hours without a bite. Went for a boat ride and caught one. Good news, the starter worked great. Bad news is I think I need a rectifier and maybe a stator.
Water level was maybe 2” below pool. Pretty windy so boat control was an issue.

Very nice. Love coming over to Saline/Larto, but never fished there in the winter. I need to fix that.
