I also have a fish cooker and I also have a big smoker on a trailor if we wanted to cook a pig or some of that size . Even if I am not home you are welcome to use it.

Thanks, Tommy......but I'm hoping it will work out so that we can get a break for you oil hands. I remember what it's like to have to leave at the worse times, kid's birthdays, cancel out on taking them to a movie, fishing, etc, not to mention anniversaries and the wife's birthdays. I'm going to be optimistic and try to schedule the best time, and work from there.

A new development has come up regarding the tournament. Benthook, who lives in the Saline/Larto area and has put on several tourneys there, indicated that his choice would be Larto Lake and Lodge. The Lodge can accomodate as many as 25 members if some brought cots and sleeping bags. At the slow rate I'm getting sign-ups, we may not have to worry about the numbers. Just in case everyone doesn't know, at the top of the LA thread page I've posted a poll to see how many members are willing to fish the tournament. So far, only 9 have posted. I'm hoping we can get a better turnout???

There are several places to stay on saline/larto complex, but most are very primative. Woodson's landing rents cabins, it's off of 107 (Marksville Hwy.). There are several site for campers. Open Bayou landing, Public boat landing, Field's landing, Willey's landing (Jonesville) probably rents cabins, Cross bayou landing, Young blood landing. You can camp with a tent at any of these. Pineville is about 30 minutes away for those who need a warm bed. The perch are going crazy right now so would be an excellent time to fishen

slabbuster......thanks for the info, but I'm sure we've found the right place in Larto Lodge. If you're interested in fishing the tournament, leave us a post at the top of the LA thread page on the sticky note.

    Bill,
I do not mind sleeping on a cot. Matter of fact I got me a nice air mattress.
I penciled in the date of April 16 (Saturday) I assume that will be the day we actually fish the tournament with everyone arriving on the Friday? Is this what you had in mind?
I can't leave now; They fixen to turn on.

Don't get them Northern boys mad. Unless you plan on catching enough for you and me (LOL)
Many of times I went camping as a boy with the idea that we will eat what we catch and many of times I came home hungry.
