Wish I could offer some advice. But I’m to far away.
I’m from Oklahoma and we do fish 52 weekends or more every year, so it’s definitely possible.
I’m sure one of the LA members will chime in.

So I’m looking for some advice. I haven’t fished in the winters months and do not know where to begin. The lake I fish primarily flat most depths ranging from 5-7 ft. The main lake drops to 10 ft with no cover in the deep water. There are no underwater structures that I’ve found and very few lay downs. The lake is full of lily pads and grass. I went out a few days ago and fished around the trees on the flats with no results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I lived in Monroe, I would go to Darbonne in the winter, fishing structure in the channel. A lot of people do great in the river, but I never seemed to. I’m also a novice and recently got back into fishing.

It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings.
