Default Salt water teaser- Pictures from Rockafeller

Well Stilltrying said that he may not be able to make it down for the get together so he came when he got a chance. He said that they didn't do much in Big Lake on Wed. so I told him to follow me and Dad down to Rockafeller today. I told him I couldn't guarantee fish but I would almost guarantee that we would catch some crabs. Me and Dad ended the day with 10 dozen crabs and a limit of shrimp. Would have finished off the 12 dozen crab limit if the lightining wouldn't have scared us off!
Not Sure how many crabs Stilltrying ended up with but it was a good mess.
    Anyway here are some pictures.

Terry (Stilltrying) and his wife Leigh Anne in their boat.

    Terry doing the heavy lifting.

Leigh Anne catching all the stuff Terry left behind.

Picture of Terry and Leigh Anne crabbing.

Picture of some of Terry and Leigh Anne's catch

Picture of me and Dad's catch of crabs.

And finally picture of the shrimp!

Dwyane, them don't look like bait shrimp, looks like they have a good size to them. Glad to hear that Terry and Leigh Anne got a chance to get in some saltwater action. Looks like they were having some fun. I think we will all have some fun in a few more weeks...lol.... Thanks for the post/pics. And congrats to you and your dad and Terry and Leigh Anne.

Good looking mess of shrimp and crabs Dwyane. I been spooling rods, prepping the boat, stocking the tackle box and laying my battle plans. It's getting the the point its interfearing with my desire to crappie fish.

lol should I seek profressional help?

Thanks for the report, glad yall were able to put um on some shrimp and crabs and manage to get a few for yourself.

Those pictures almost make me homesick for the East Texas coast....naw not really. I don't miss Houston one bit. But, I do miss those crabs. I haven't thought about that in a long time. The only thing those pictures are missing is some blanket size flounders.
Thanks for the post, it brought back lots of memories.

    Default Shrimp/Crabs

Good catch, time to fill the freezer. Went Monday but the weather had slowed things down and although I got my limit of shrimp and about 3 1/2 doz crabs with the cast-net I had to bait for them. I will boil them for supper tonight as the weather was ripping here last night. Good fishin' to all, Ray
