All of those will work. I have never used Live bait for Reds. I use shrimp, cracked crab and cut mullet under a cork with good success.
A gold colored spoon is deadly. I have also seen, but not tried, Reds caught on buzz-baits.
You have to see what's going on at the time an then make a decision.
    Good luck in the turnny!
I can't leave now; They fixen to turn on.

I know some people that catch alot of them on artificial baits, casting and trolling. We have always caught the bigger ones like Deacon said, live bait. We usually fish the bottom with either cut mullet, half crabs/with legs still on, and on live cocohoe minnows hooked like shiners. Biggest one's we ever caught were, the wife with one 22lbs, and mine was about 20lbs. Yeah I know she beat me on the size....lol....... It's an old cellphone pic, but if you want to see, here is my wife with hers. Lost the pic of mine.(so I don't even have proof that I caught it...lol)

how do u hook your live cocohoe or croaker,,threw the lips or behind the dorsal fin? Do u tight line off the bottom with croakers? Trying to learn how to catch some trout. Going down to big lake sat.
