    Default Mermentau River

With the water being too high to get to the camp in Saline and the Basin being too high by the house; I'm looking for some new places to try. The Mermentau River is not too far from me, so I was thinking about giving it a try. Not looking for any spots, just looking for some info on launches to use where I don't have to worry about my truck being on blocks when I get back. Thanks for any info ya'll can give.

I used to put in by the bridge ... maybe highway 90. It has a train bridge parallel to the bridge just south of the ramp. I fished to yhe left of the ramp in a cut taking a left from the river. Waters muddy a lot of the time.

The HWY 90 launch is fairly safe. The Mermentau town Police stop by every now and again. Never heard of trouble there.

They ever fix that pothole in the launch on the hwy 90 bridge? If not i think if you stay to the right side of the launch you wont hit it.

It was there a few months ago, but it's not to bad like you say if you go to the side.

Thanks for the replies. May try this weekend. I’ll either do that, Fausse Pointe or Quintana.
