I think the southern fish and northern fish are two different animals. There is a magic temp and moon and time and each group of fish in each body of water has THEIR OWN RULES.

River lakes will run later due to cooler water inflow. Have seen minor spawn of brim and bass in fall!!

    Default The spawn?

I always start finding fish shallow at the base of cypress trees when the water hits 58-59 degrees for a few days.
    1-4 feet deep.
They also seem to prefer calm water over current.

Also, watch the dewpoint temperature. The very surface of the water will always be close to the dewpoint.
