Default The first fish of the Day

was a good one, then it swam under limbs on the bottom and broke the line... How about dat - the Tackle box is at home... After Scrounging the boat bottom I found two small rusty Bream hooks. The areas I usually fish had floats marking Catfish traps - The bite was slow and small fish in water 18 ft deep. Tried other Channel markers to catch a couple of Keepers. With the Motor running good , I went just below the Bridge to fish some shallower water 12 ft deep . that is where I caught all my bigger Cats. With the Sun cooking the backs of my hands I decided to call it a day after one more fish ----- Paw Paws Fish slammed the Night Crawler and was peeling line from the reel when the Rod Handle broke below the Reel. Where is the net --- After several more runs the fish was in the Boat .... Paw Paws Goo was a little over 6 Pounds ---- Not bad for the last fish of the day ... After such a gallant struggle I returned the fish to D'Arbonne to fight another Day,, The Motor purred like a Kitten --- Total Cats cleaned was 12

Now you're cooking Larry. All you have to do now is equip the boat including a tackle box and a stronger rod. Good luck, glad to hear the motor runs well.

Good news on the boat motor, Larry. And it sounds like you got a good mess of cats too. Congratulations!

Good to hear you got things straighten out. Now don't let that motor sit over a week.
