Default Clear Lake and Red River

Went to Clear Lake Friday morning. Caught 4 and 2 cats in 5 ft water fishing 4ft using only orange/chart pepper. Quit biting at 8:30 and left and went to the Red at 11. Caught 9 at the river using orange/chart pepper fishing 1-3 ft deep shallow and 5-7 ft deep at 6-9 fow. Found out Saturday and Sunday that both waters are still on a rise. Large east wind also on Sat and Sun. Caught 5 Sat and 8 Sun all on the Red. Same pattern as Friday. Still full of eggs as of yesterday.

These are the fish from Sunday. You can see they are still full of eggs. I did catch some of these on electric chicken.

Yes you can. There aren't any stumps or trees out in the middle. It's an oxbow off the river, so it was the old river channel. I've never seen anyone spider rigging or anything other than single poleing, but I can fish there all year long and not see 5 people crappie fishing. If your talking about the lake, then yes you can, but it's 6 feet deep throughout. It ties into Clear Lake and Black Lake, so the fish have access to deeper water.
