    Default Bayou Pigeon 7-29-17 spillway bite is on.


    Great day. Had a late start with a boat load of people. It was myself my oldest son jack and and two friends and their boys. Day started off fast first spot started catching. Ended the day with 72 sac's 19 bass, 12 bream, 1 catfish, and a 20lb carp. We caught on run outs were water was mixing. They were biting.I don't think color made a deference but most were caught on junebug tube jig and shiners.

    The nasty carp is in the trash. the boys wanted to show their moms and i sure was not going to let it live.

    I guess that is an Asian Carp. never saw one up close.. A lot different from Buffalo

    We cleaned one and ate it a few weeks ago. It was very pretty white meat. Look on Youtube for a video of how to clean them. They have "Y" bones in them. It really was good though.
