Met him only 3 times. Henderson and twice at Palmetto Park. It will be a little sad fishing that spot at Palmetto this winter if I make it. Still have the little hand tied jig he gave me and probably will save it now. Instantly likeable guy for sure.

This is a wonderful ideal Ed! I have something I wanted to share on here but wanted to wait to get his wife's (Mrs. Barbara) permission, which I have now. I was going to put it on the off topic but if this is going to be turned into some kind of memorial, it would go better here. Here it is.

I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Henderson Gathering and thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. He was a wealth of knowledge on the Mississippi River and fishing all over the state of Louisiana. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Sneaky Pete I hope you have a big Tarpon on your line and Heaven.

Thanks Dwayne and thank Mrs Barbara for sharing that with us. I used to read Pete on the La. Conservation and other places. I felt like I knew him as a friend. It was only through CDC that I got to talk to him and meeting him at Henderson face to face for the first time meant the most to me. He and I were to meet up a couple of years back but because of delays on my part the meeting never happened. That was one of my regrets in life. Tell Mrs Barbara thanks for sharing him with us fishing fools, and God Bless.
