    Default Coyell Bay

Well I got my Saturday honey do's done about 1/2 pass 3. Momma's still working on da taxes. She must love waiting till the last minute. Told her I'm heading to da river be back by dark.

Got bit right away fishing lay-downs. Still using the red n green n chart tube tight line. I'd catch 3-5 fish off each spot mostly throw backs.

Caught a little tail less goggle eye. That's a first for me. Caught a real colorful perch too.

Conditions were perfect, High muddy water. No movement that I could tell. Not to many boats running up da creek.

Haven't found anything better. The Slaters are close. I do like The one's the lady built in his Erwinville shop. It does needs teflon tape on the real threads. So you can spin it.

Coyell bay off the Amite? I have tried fishing all over that area and I only catch throw backs with the occasional nice catfish every now and then lol

Yes,off the Amite. Your not gonna catch big fish there IMO. If it was about catching big fish for me, I'd fish big fish waters.Bin there done that. I have learn as I keep waking up it ain't about big fish, it's about the bump.:big grin
The conditions are not favorable for big fish. But l can be fishing less than 15 minutes from the house. Don't get mo better IMO.

I dont really go looking for the monsters, it would just be nice to find a few keepers here and there but i usually just find the little ones lol. I am kind of new to fishing the area, is Maurepas any good ? I usually fish around Flat lake(off the diversion) and lake martin
