    Default 04-01-2017 Bonnet Carre report

Me and my youngest slipped off for a quick trip, before my grandsons 1st bday party, we are still in the learning stage of Sac fishing. Loaded with minnows and the well to go fish all we found was bass and fresh water drum. The area has lots of underwater structure and I plan on coming back with new toy( Lowarance ELITE 7 TI )... Was greeted back at the launch by the guys that serve in the USGC and had a boat inspection luckily it was a no ticket day but now I need to by flares..

Tblue13, I fished the Bonnet Carre on Sunday and had similar luck. I caught 7 bluegill (perch), 2 goos, 3 bass and only two sacs (small) which I caught jerking a black and chartreuse tube jig (1/16) under a small cork. I'm going to try it again this weekend and bringing some grass shrimp and work the bank and laydowns. The bluegill were nice. I'll enter a report. Thanks for your report.

Good luck, your welcome... I'm going to try and give as best reports as I can and fish as often as I can. Reports should get better with time.

Went to BC this morning to work pups and fish in between reps.... usual 20 or 2o cats... but only 1 was a flathead the rest channels and blues.. and one blue way way way too big to mess with.

might go back in the am...

saw a very significant striper chasing shad
