    Default Larto Report

I don't know how many of ya'll ever travel the Vick Rd on your way to Larto, it's a twisting and turning road that follows the Red River. Now add in the FOG pea soup had nothing on this stuff, still pulling the truck seat cover out the crack of my well you get the idea. Finely got to Youngblood launch, first one there slight breeze light fog on the lake. Headed off to the back side of the island, fished about 2 hrs keeping 4 plenty small ones. Went to the store to get a hamburger and ask for a fishing report, everybody said Youngbloods so back to were I started. When I got there I met the fleet, doesn't anyone have to work on Wednesday there must had been 16 boats. The fish were deep 18' in 22 fow plenty shad ended up keeping 4 more medium sized fish using shinners.

I also got a report that the fish were biting behind the island on Larto. Youngbloods surprises me especially with the warm weather. That usually doesn't start until Dec-Jan. Oh well, might have to check it out. Thanks for the report.
Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.

Don't start the big motor. If you go to the lake you went to far, if you go to the turn by the man made canal you went to far, if you loose sight of the boat launch you went to far.....

Dont post on here much but read as i only sac-a-lait in November, December and January......I went this past Saturday and only caught one keeper on a jig along with 2 catfish and several bar fish.....seen a few others that were catching on shiners.....quit jigging about 10:30 and started bass fishing and was able to salvage the day catching them....I got vacation time coming up so I'll be headed out there more and hopefully post up some good reports.....
