    Default Sure is quiet lately.

Don't know what the problem is for you guys but my boat is still in the shop until tomorrow afternoon. Then look out fish, y'all better hide. I've heard a few rumors about catches in the area but haven't seen the proof. Some of them are credible and some not so. Linda and I are looking forward to our first boat ride some day this coming week if the weather gives us a break. How about you fellas, y'all all gave up fishing for summer.

I too have been amazed how quiet it's been here. Chalked it up to the great flood of 2016 and it's after effects. Hope to get in two days this week somewhere. Conditions on this end are getting better slowly.

    Guys,
I agree...its been really quiet! I'm sure the flood has something to do with it..., but for me, I just haven't been going! Work, grandkids & life hasn't allowed lately...but I'm hoping soon! Maybe even this evening!
I have gotten some very credible reports of good bites in pigeon...really good catches. Surprised j.r. hadn't gotten on them out there!
    Take care all

When we get into 80 degree days and 60 degree nights, I will worry them to death until freezes run me off. Looking like
    about 10 more days.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

The Drawdown on D'Arbonne was started, Saturday going to the Nursing home to visit with Mom about one foot of water had been let out already and lots of trailers at Jakes. did not see boats pulling skiers or boats in the Channel... as the level gets lower the ramps will get slick with the Green stuff

Hey PPG....glad you are close to getting your boat back.....I had a bug the last 2 weeks so didn't get to go....plus, we have been taking care of the 3 year old great granddaughter plenty.....been hearing lots of good reports from the Basin on bass and crappie....I went to Henderson this morning.....plenty of gar around....brought home 4 sacs and one bass all on shiners....quit at 10....you have to find good water.....lots of black water around....look for the birds....the water rose about 7 feet from the flood.....falling about 1" per day now....expecting to have some good days ahead as the water keeps dropping.....I will be checking on it and will let you know when it gets right like when we got those 65.....

Thanks Slip, I hope to explore the Orange Grove area soon. The water is high here also. We need a front or two to get it moving down.
