    do people actually eat drum (goo)? I don't even like to take them off my hook. use needle nose an d shake them off.

    yes...it ain't like sacalait or bass but it is also not bad...clean em up good and cook em like other fish...most people cook it in a coubillon(spelled wrong pr coobeeon with a thick cajun accent) or tomato/creole gravy...I fried it cuz they were easier to catch than sacalait and it
    was good....but then again frying anything is good....i watched a you tube vid on cleaning a buffalo and cleaned the goo the same way......we did some gar on the same day.. it was not as good...now i know why they season it up with onions and such and grind it up and make patties/balls out of it.....you tube the gar cleaning also.
