    G has given you some really good advice on where to get started getting the rods and crank baits
    I can say from my experience grizzly jig has excellent service

    You might want to check your local Academy for these crankbaits http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/-h2o...ight-crankbait I have been using the shallow version (crul) this fall and have caught crappie, bass, and big bream on it. They seem to run true, have a nice wide wobble, and at $2.99 it doesn't break my heart (or my budget) if I lose a couple.
