I haven't been in a while but I talked to someone recently who is catching pretty good in the canals between Old River and Bayou Pigeon in the run outs where water is moving in the canals. Black/chartruese under a cork.

thanks for the info guys! I went to Benoit today and nothing good to report. I may not be the best fisherman around but I've never gone to Benoit and not catch a few keepers. the water was slowly moving, the right depth and color in my opinion and I tried every color jig, depth and technique I could think of and didn't catch one keeper. Hmmmm, maybe I should sell my boat!
I'll be sick if someone post here and says they mopped up! lol

You're not the only one. That's my back yard. This year is the worst I've seen since fishing. The bad Henderson water passed through Catahoula swamp and screwed up all Benoit's water. No fish from there this year.Originally Posted by zwalls
