Ran up da bayou this morning. Got there about 9 and ran back the old pumping station area. Made the loop and headed back out to the intercostal.

Why you ask? Black water everywhere. Nothing moving not even gar.

Stopped were the water was mixing and caught two medium sacs and drop one at the boat. Thought about running down to Pigeon but the bad weather was coming. Back to the landing at noon.

I had a bad water trip today also to Lacassine. Never saw so much gar and even saw two crappie on the surface with their lips right on the water surface. They looked stressed. Not a bite! Also left early with the weather, but saw nothing to keep me from the fish.

Is Hederson still good? Was thinking about taking my girl tomorrow, or has it dropped to far and fast now?

Henderson is still great as ever went today and we caught 34 keepers about 2 foot on shiners. I threw every color jig imaginable with no luck so switched to shiners and let the games begin. The weather started getting bad and when lightning started popping ontop of us it was time to go.

Mike if nothing else get some worms and put her on some bream beds in the south that's how I usually keep mine occupied when I bring her or the kids and the bite isn't so great

Well the bottom dropped out like I expected. But it will get right soon. Hope we don't have a bad fish kill.

    Thanks JDK,
we went yesterday, caught 2 sacalait and 2 bass. We both still had a good time, did some exploring, went by a friends house boat. Water was black I saw big catfish near the surface opening and closing their mouths, not sure what that was about.
where in the south are the bream beds?

Water is lacking oxygen so the fish come up to get some. The other day east of Whiskey bay off I10 I could see hundreds of what looked like small catfish trying to get some oxygen.
