Looking for a guide to take me out crappie fishing. Not familiar with the lakes/different styles of fishing... anyone know of any guides on toledo bend? or anyone wanna take a good ole boy out?

I've met and talked to Coon several times at the landing. Very knowledgeable fella and has his own brush piles - several. I know a lot of folks who recommend him. Has his own website now:

The most famous on Toledo Bend is Noe Garcia. A couple of friends use Covington Guide Service, and I have used and can recommend Donnie Nixon who guides out of Holly Park Marina.

I can vouch for Mr. Coon. He knows his area of the lake very well. We've been going with him every year since he accommodated my dad so well in a wheel chair a few years ago. He is very honest and will let you know if the fish aren't biting so you have the option to cancel or reschedule. He says he wants you to CATCH fish. We have caught limits or near limits every time with him. He's fun to be around, and I learn something new every time I fish with him. I'm really looking forward to our trip with him this month!
