    Default Chicken Coop Report

45 fish in 3 days with yesterday being the fastest action. I caught 15 from 0645 to 0800. Water temp was 55. They are not in there thick yet but they are there. I had to leave early to take my wife to a doctors appointment other wise I would have caught my limit. I fished the bank side working between 27 and 29 fow. I used a 1/2 oz egg sinker with my hook 12" below it. I dropped all the way to bottom then one crank up which = 2' on my spinning reels. I see a lot of men using smaller weight but I like that the 1/2 oz gets me down fast and I have more feel with my one crank off bottom as well as when I get a bit. I also used a couple of rods in holders. I staggered 1 12' rod then a 6', 12' 6' to cover deferent depths based on the slope coming off the bank. I used 3/4 oz egg sinker on my 12' rods as it provides feel coming off bottom and I can see the bit better will they are in the holders. Oh if you like blue cats you can fill the boat out there fishing in 40 to 55 fow 5 cranks off bottom with shinners.

I guess u can. I tried it on one rig my first day only catching on the bottom. No need in wasting minners I figured.

I was actually using a bottom drop that first day. Thinking about it a caps n colemen type may work as that top hook will not be as high up. Hmmmm!
