    Default Henderson- Cold and Warm

It was pretty darn cold out there during the overcast morning with that North breeze, but then it warmed up around noon. We fished the bayou that goes up from Bigeaux to Fordoche and managed to catch 3 about 8' deep in one spot. Around 1:00 it looked like a scratch until we hit that spot. We tried shallow in the bayou and some side canals, but not a bite. It seems things change fast this time of year.

    Hey MMT,

That's a long paddle. Did you try punching the Lilies?

About 7 miles total. We do 10 sometimes with 12 miles being our max. Could do a lot more, but not stopping to fish.

I did try checking holes in the lilies, but they were either in motion or super shallow. It's hard in a yak to get any leverage to punch a hole with a rake or anything.

What I really need is to figure out how to catch during the winter in these Bayous over here in the South West. Most of the good fishermen over here just quit during that time.

You can put in off the Dixie pipeline. Off the levee. And you can make the lake and the canal in jut like 1 mile
