    Default Anyone fished Darbonne lately?

I'm thinking about going to darbonne sunday and am trying to see if anything is going on up there. Went last weekend on sunday and showed up a day late for the bite. Thanks for the reports.

Went this morning and all I could catch were small fish and I had to throw most of them back in. I did not see anyone catching any fish. I wonder if anyone found any fish that would bite. Jim

I went this past Wednsday morning but weather was bad and fishing was slow. They havent stacked up in the channel much yet with the water temp being around 65 degrees. I hoping this cool weather the past couple of days will last long enough to help the situation.

Default The Bite Was ON 11-5-06

I took a trip over to Darbonne Sat morning and spent the night....fishing was
slow Sat and the fish were being caught in 15 to 18 ft of water......BUT Sunday Morning by the Hwy 33 Bridge about 6 AM the bite took off....I had my limit by 10AM and that was after throwing all the dinks back....the Dept of Wildlife and Fisheries were making the rounds.....The fish weren't stacked up in the channel like I thought they would be...but rather scattered out around the structure just off to the side of the channel.
NOW...I recieved the baitpump earlier last week and this was the first time I used it...WOW...All I can say is thank you ...thank you ....thank you Randy.
I have read about the pump and just didn't see how it could really be better than adding the niblette to the hook....I was wrong....the BAIT PUMP will fluff
up the tube and give it a lifelike feel.....Best of all....you don't have to keep going after that niblette jar everytime you catch a fish......Just load and go.
Spend a little money and enjoy a LOT more actual fishing time.....I bought one for my DAD....Every fisherman should have at least 2 of these...
I took a nap when I came in and my wife cleaned some of the fish and gave the other ones to some of her friends...sorry I didn't take pictures before I took a nap....I have the camera loaded and will post pict from the next fishing trip.

    Daniel121,
Simmer down now, sounds like you are having an orgaziniam or something. :D
Don't get too excited and pee in your pants because of a useful tool.
    hehehehe :D
But you are right..... If I had to go back to using them from the bottle, I probably wouldn't use them as much.....
So thank you, because the best part for me is seeing another true sportsman get the real purpose of The Bait Pump.
That was worth more than the money you paid me. But I'll keep the money too.... hehehehe :D
    Thanks again,
    Randy

Nice catch Daniel..... I was out there Sun. and me my cousin started catching them in the afternoon in the channel ......I caught 33 and he had 22 like Daniel said when they turn on it was fun but I had fun watching someone who saw us started catching them and came by to just sit and watch us.... Since he was nice enough not to fish on top of us. We told him what he needed to know he started to catch a few too it good to have someone not trying to steal fish were your fishing.

Good catch Daniel, glad you got into them.

As reply to the question the mature fish are starting to get out into the channels. My best catches have been on the edge of the channel in front of Stowe Creek and Terral Island. I have been using char. jig heads tips with rosie reds.

The bait pump is on of the best inventions for the crappie fisherman that uses tube jigs and crappie nibbles. Here check it out for yourself, pretty cheap too considering the cost of other fishing supplies and well worth the money.
here is the link for it.
