Sorry y'all didn't have much luck. Thanks again for the report
Looks like a good sandwich to me
water still muddy and moving??
Sorry the fishing was slow, I had a buddy hit them pretty well in the park( chicot) last week, other than that, I've been getting bad news from the close places. BTW cairo crested today below flood stage and the mississipi above New Madrid is abnormally low, so barring any monstrous rain, we ought to get some falling and clearing water within the month!
Keep Rippin!

chicot has been in my sights...actually any place that's not associated with the rivers now......
I fished Chicot today. Caught 6 bass trolling for sacalait. I wasn't aware of the slot limit until I talked to a bass fisherman on the water. 14 to 17 inches had to go back. Had 4 good fish in the boat. 4 pounder, 3.5 pounder is all I kept. Threw back a 15 and 16 inch fish. Didn't like it but I did it anyway. I didn't catch one sacalait. Oh well, I'll settle for bass. Mmmmmm mmmmmmm
I heard they were catching a lot of sacs on yo yo's. I'm going back next weekend to try my luck again. Water temp was around 58 degrees, so the sacalait will be spawning real soon. Woooo hooooo!!
I tried the channels a little. Water was 12 ft in the channels at the deepest. I didn't readjust my depth because i didn't wanna get snagged if I had to jet off into shallow water not to get run over, haha. Caught all of the bass in 6 to 7 feet of water trolling between the trees. Most were full of eggs. Beautiful healthy fat fish. These fish are on steroids. haha Launched at the south end. Caught to the left and to the right of the landing.
