    Default Henderson 2/15

Went out this morning to try for some perch. Used crickets under cork and some of JB Salter's sinker-cricket hooks with the jig pole.

Fished mostly in the western parts of Henderson where the water seemed to be a bit less muddy. Very few bites and nothing worth keeping.

Surface temperatures of the water that I fished were mostly between 48-50deg. In boat from 8:30-12:30.

Pretty poor fishing trip, but it sure beat being in a city. Fished only with jig poles today

Hope that some of yall had better luck than me.

Made an afternoon trip thinking the full moon would have a better bite in the late evening. Fished 1:30 - 5:30, mostly bass. Tighhtlined a few lay downs and ran a crankbait and spinner bait. No bites, no bites, no bites! Bass starting moving around at 5:00 right on the banks, tried flipping some 1oz, no bites! Water was beautiful though, and almost prime temp.....with water rising, I say this area should be turning on by next weekend.........Butte LaRose Canal

I docked at the campground, and fished towards the Atchafalaya to the end then back. Water wasn't a bit muddy, but I didn't go the other way at all to see where it stopped. It was really muddy passing over the Pontoon Bridge. The new depth finder sure helps determine who has the sunken tops by their docks....
