Thanks for the great report. Glad that you had a good trip
Well, either these fish have spawned or these are all males(not).....not one hint of eggs in any of them.....fished daylight to 3 with shiners......caught 12 ft deep in 14 fow....kept 10.....when the sun came out for a short time they turned on but shut down again with the clouds returning.....thru back about 4 small ones and 3 goo.....water color was good and seems to be falling fast....water temp was 45 deg....
Ran across "Gon Fishin" and his dad.....had a nice chat with them.....reminded me of the days my dad would take me out......good times.....
The normal nuts were out there idleing by 2 ft from my cork.....made my tongue bleed......
The "King" is coming
This could be the Day....

Looks like a great catch to me considering we just survived the polar vortex.
prefers shiners LIKED above post
good catch Mr. Bruce
"So many places to fish so little time to fish them!"
Nice seeing you out there Mr. Bruce. Dad and I scrapped together 17. 2 real nice ones around 13" but most about 9-11". The boat traffic after 11 am was sickening. Not to mention the folks that had no qualms about throwing their lines within a few feet of our corks. I try not to let them ruin my day but at times it's real hard to bite my tongue...then the circus at the boat launch is a whole other story...oh well so long as I'm a working man, I'll have to fish on weekends, so I guess I better just learn to cope with it...
Thanks for the pics guys! I decided to change it up a bit and went to big lake 2-1, caught our limit of beautiful reds and left them biting. I'll be back to the basin soon, till then....
Keep Rippin
Nice enough catch Bruce, that works for me. You too Gonfishin. Thanks for posting with the pics.

I went to henderson yesterday too. But didn't make it till about 9:00am. I fished the rr pilings on bigeaux but didn't get a bite! I not familiar yet on where to fish in henderson cause I fish toledo mostly , but trying to learn henderson for the times when I can't make the 3 hour trip to toledo. I saw a white either gmc or chevy at butte la rose launch parked with cb antenna and crappie.com stickers on it. Not sure whose truck this was.
