nice mess o fish......worked for it and that made it better...congrats.
I made a solo trip to Bayou Benoit Thursday morning. I caught a decent sac au lait on my first cast and thinking that the bite was on, started to call a friend to come meet me. Glad I waited because while the day turned out ok, it took over a hour to catch my next fish. The early fish came from isolated structure about 7 feet down in water that was 14-20 feet deep. I had to move around a bit but picked up some good fish. Later, I found some fish along a bank on a deep drop off. Going back and forth along that bank accounted for about half my sac au lait. All but three or four fish were caught using a 1/32 and 1/24 silver and gray jig under a cork. All fish were caught north of the landing and on the East bank. The big fish in the picture is a gaspar goo, cooked in a tomato gravy, by the right Cajun, it is hard to beat. So, until Henderson or the South Basin heats up, Bayou Benoit is worth looking in to......BC
