    PMantle, were you KEEPING those fish?????
    My goodness, there won't be anything in there next year!!

    I've never caught crappie that shallow---sounds fun.

    No, it really won't. Two years ago they were there for 5 weeks. Last year, they were there for zero weeks.

    You must have only went on the full moon last year! Just remember if you go back this weekend to only keep 5 fish as to not hurt the population and to only keep females that have laid eggs, and do not keep the males as they are guarding the nest and the entire species will be completely depleted

    I keep them all and perform and artificial spawn in a large ice chest. Eggs are then released that afternoon.
