Pete, Where on earth did you find a field with that little water. The field where my blind is has 30 inches of water in it. Killing ducks, but not a lot of specks. Nice photo

Long time no hear from you. Hope all has been well.
That was on the 12th - two days after the most recent rain and one day before the next floods occurred. Durel has his fields well-drained. That particular one was a bottom cut and had been planted in beans, so it was set up to run off quick. The middle and top cuts had already drained off. Haven't seen the place since, but I'd imagine that by now they are back to near-normal.
No ducks, but PLENTY of geese!
Good luck with 'em - we don't have much longer before we have to start fishing again!
