Favorite places to fish sacalait!
Just curious to see what kind of different places/areas in Louisiana you enjoy fishing sacalait! I've fished sacalait many places in Louisiana Larto, Caney Lake, Toledo Bend etc but by far my favorite place to fish is the northern part of the Atchafalaya basin (Butte la Rose, Catahoula, Bayou Benoit, Sandy cove etc). I personally think the basin has some of the best fishing in the state!

Any where if the sun is out and hot , under any deep water bridge where there's a nice cool breeze and the fish are on ... Clio bridge Amite river in killian .
Early in the morning on a strong out going tide , no doubt lower tickfaw river .
In the fall , upper tickfaw
Spring time has gotta be up lizzard creek , and blood river area .

Only been to poverty point and Darbonne a couple times but both are nice. If I caught fish on the ouachita river and black bayou, then they would be my favorite since they are close to Swartz.

I love Yucatan,I have a camper spot at the landing and we go all the time when the water is not in the camp,which this year we have been able to get in earlier than we have in the past and so far the fishing has been great,I learn a little more about it each year and all the fishing is good,crappie,bream,bass and the barfish are getting ready to start running shad.If the fish aint biting we got our bows rigged up for bowfishing and we will go shoot some gar.Plus frogg season is fixing to open and it's full of them.
