Default PawPaw "gene" is catching fish again

I woke up late this morning (5 AM) drank a couple cups of coffee and after I was awake I decided to go catch me some fish. Linda's not ready for boat riding yet, so I took off alone. I took that hint from Bruce, leave the women at home and catch fish. Maybe the ancient mariners were right, no women on the boat. I got to my spot around 8 AM and started fishing promptly as no one else was to be seen. In fact it was near 10 AM before I saw the first boat. Man I had it all to my self. I hit this one little honey hole and just sat on it. I was doing good at first and then it slacked off a bit. That's when I did something I'd never done before. I grabbed two of my jig poles and my thinking was if one bait is good then 2 has to be better. Well as you would guess within a couple of minutes I had a double going, which was a first for me. One was a nice slab and the other was a ladyfish. Yeah, that's right, a ladyfish. Come on pete, tell them about a ladyfish. I can catch anything. Anyway, I got both into the boat and decided to pick up one pole. Had a great day, total of nine keeper bass and 11 sac-au-lait. I also threw about 15 bass back into the drink. When I took the pictures of the bass on the table I had the largest one missing. I found him in the boat when I went to pick up the rods. Somehow he had gotten out of the cooler and was on the floor of the boat. I'm sure glad I had to go back to the boat. So here are the pictures.

    The ladyfish,

The bass with all but the largest one which was hiding in the boat.

    The sac-au-lait.

Here is a very nice bass that I turned loose because it had some sore spots on both side of it's body behind the gills.

Is a ladyfish the same thing as a skipjack? I catch them on Lake Yucatan and behind the jetties on the Mississippi. They make great catfish bait.
