Thumbs down Tough day at Darbonne Fri-2-10

Lots of rainwater.....Darbonne level 81.18 and dropping slowly. I went this morning thinking it would be a good day....Well not for me today. Could only muster up 14 average fish at best. Fished from Forks Ferry down to Bear Creek. Lil Darbonne is very muddy and has the lake muddy at its
tie-in and downstream a bit. Found decent water at Bear Creek but it was just slow.....Saw a few boats in the bend at piney point. Boats scattered from the 33 bridge down to Stowe. I was there for a good while and I saw only 2 fish caught with riggers and I caught 2 in the area. The pattern today was that there was no pattern. Can't wait to check it out early next week. SLIP

Sorry about the slow day. I went and looked at the water on Wed. Saw that it was stained a little red at the marina. Couldn't hardly tell it from ground level but more noticeable from up on the highway coming across the lake. Knew the wind was supposed to be blowing a little too hard for my 14 ft. so made the trip to Woolen Lake instead. Didn't do great there either. Ended with 14. Also had a first for me that day. In all the years I have been fishing it was the first time I ever had to show a Game Warden my fishing license. They didn't show up till very late. Only still a couple of us on the water....

I was kicking myself yesterday for not going because of the weather man. My plan was to go back today but with 10-20 mph wind, I decided not to. Supposed to be a light wind tomorrow but pretty cold. I'll be there in the morning. Hope to see yall on the water.

Default Slow day on the bone

Was on the bone yesterday as well. Slow day spider-rigging. Fished between spillway and Hwy 33 bridge. Saw one boat catch a lot of dinks on shiners. Another boat was doing really well after the rain casting under the bridge.

I suppose the wardens have figured out that people are catching fish on Woolen and decided to come and check it out. I've been to Woolen 5 times in last month or so and I've yet to see a warden. I will either try Darbonne or Woolen in the morning. Still haven't made up my mind. Maybe wind will lay and we can all catch some fish! Lets hope so!

Sorry to hear that is was slow on D'Arbonne for yall. Maybe it will be better next week. Good luck to all of yall in the morning. As for me and my house, we will be in the Lord's house worshipping and praising our God, Creator, Sustainer, and Savior. Save me a few for next week.

We were on the water on 2-10, hitting tree stumps in Piney Point, would get 1 to 2 fish per stump then move on, most fish were average for that area, but great fish for what we are used to up here in KS and Missouri, we will be back to D'Bone, to get limits on them great size fish!
