Fishing will be great then. Come on down and stock your freezer. The limit is 50 a person on most lakes. Most lakes have Cabins or camping. Read a few posts and dicide where you want to go. Then ask for information for those areas. Seeya, Don

Darbonne in farmerville or poverty point in delhi are good choices because they are both good lakes and both have cabins by the lake. At poverty point the limit is 25, everywhere else is 50.

Concordia Parish and the surrounding area has more lakes than you could fish in a couple of weeks if you fished a different lake each day. Old River Minorca, Old River Deer Park, Concordia, St. John, Bruin, Black River Lake Complex, Larto, Saline, Tew, Means, Yucatan, Hog Pen, Long Bayou, Bursley, and many more. A good contact is Randy Roberts at Bryan's Marine in Vidalia, LA. He's very knowlegeable about the area lakes and is always willing to point you in the right direction.---Pooch

    Default Another option

Mid-March should be real good on Grand Bayou in Coushatta. There's a guide (don't know his name) that does it and Caney both. These are big fish in both places, but easier to find on Grand Bayou. I'm pretty sure there are some cabins there also. Hope this helps.
