    Default Perch jerking


    Want to see PawPaw smile, give him a jigging pole and a perching hole. I got to use some of the things I learned from "Prof" JB Salters at LSU earlier this summer. We were fishing banks with overhanging willows which made casting impossible but JB's techniques work fine and we came home with a bunch. They were split between bluegills and goggle-eyes. We caught them all on home tied jigs tipped with a little piece of shrimp as an enticer. We had a blast as it had been a while since I've gone out and an even longer span since I fished with my son. The heat wasn't too bad as we had a steady breeze blowing from the shower constantly moving past us. Luckily we didn't get wet.

    OOOOH YEAAAAAH.........nice catch......glad to see you back in the groove.....as the picture shows, just hard to keep a smile off your face after a good trip like that....happy for you and your son to share that....the best thing my dad ever gave me was to teach me how to fish....
