We were going to head out this afternoon for a while, but bad storms rolled through and it rained cats n dogs. I don't know if it messed them up, but I'm too tired to go now, after working a cubscout event this morning. Maybe next time.

    Gene......
glad to see you finally are getting out....sorry about Miss Linda.....I can't take the heat either....heat exhaustion is a serious thing....I almost passed out one July during a bass tournament in the spillway.....finally made it back to the car and air conditioning......I fished that area once for bass but got skunked......glad you got some for the skillet.....

LOL.... Sounds like Miss Linda and I would get along real fine.... that heat bout got the best of me too.... Malcolm left my hand held fan with ice water mister! I can't take this heat..... and not so sure I am so mad with those fish to get up at 430 am to make the drive.... we may try BAyou Black tomorrow early.

Yep you guys, that woman is worth more than I can replace.

Would you believe that those fish are still spawning. The female gills, which I don't keep earlier in the year were full of ripe eggs. Perhaps I stumbled on a bed and that is why I started catching. Well it was fun while it lasted and I thankful for the one we caught. They made a nice supper along with some popcorn rice and fried okra.

PPG, Congrats on the catch. and you made the right choice, her health is more important. Good luck if you head back in the morning.
