Amen brother I agree 100%, I always try to share info as soon as I can post it my biggest problem is having time to actually go. I like to see pics with those post also, it's nice to see what everyone is catching. I really appreciate looking at your pics when I'm stuck at home and can't go. I'm going crazy because I can't go, my wife had an accident and broke both arms so I'm out of commission but I enjoy seeing how everyone is doing. It's nice when they include type of lure, depth fish were caught and water clarity where they were catching, we don't need to have their honey hole just basic info.

man i couldnt agree more with you. i want to post but unfortunately i fish a lake no one else fishes. And the report is always the same i caught them in the mouth and they were small the weather sucks every day. Actually i wish i could go fishing one day. seems like the only time i get to go is at the gatherings.

I kind of disagree with the idea. Not to offend anyone but I'm sure there are members on here that don't make post every time they go to the lake just as well as non members and really is their choice to do so or not. Member or not, if you simply rely on a report telling you where to go fill up your icechest at instead of going to the lake with an open mind that you're going to figure them out and learn something, then you're not much of a sportsman. Report or not you still have to know what you're doing to put fish in the boat. So I think the whole thing is irrelevant to the purpose of the site, which I thought was to bring a group of people together and share lots of different tactics as well as off topic posts to possibly make a friend or two, Not just tell where to go catch fish. So I say if they want to look let em look, maybe they'll see there's some good people on here and want to join the fun in that aspect, and from there pick up some new fishing ideas along the way.

Good point wax but it's nice to know if they're biting before I drop $100.00 to go find out I like to have an idea of where best to spend the little time I have and hopefully put my boy on some fish. When I could fish 2 or 3 times in a week I could stay on the fish no problem and everyone was always coming to me for reports which I happily shared all I knew. I'm not that fortunate anymore so I make the best of the time I have. But I see where your coming from and I don't have to fill the boat every trip but I do like to justify the trip with a little mess I can fry up at the end of the day. Thanks!!!!!!

Just trying to bring a little cheer into the post. I think this site is great. It offers a great product and atmosphere for all ages. You dont see very many crappie fishermen my age (27). So I look up to all what is passed down about these illusive creatures and trust me they are! I do all fishing and by far crappie are the toughest! So not only does this site give us opportunity for bragging rights but endless amounts of information that is useful. Reports are good to have! But the company of fellow fisherman is better. One thing I do agree with is the blocking of non member viewing. I say be part of the community!

i like the part about nonmembers not being able to view post but im not sure about the monthly post quota part. Sometimes its really hard to get comtuer time in a big family and when you work at ood times. but thats just my idea, maybe if it was only a few post it would be good.

I just recently joined this web site and am excited about communicating with everyone on any fishing trips I make this year. My first trip was to Lake Verett on Saturday of last week. We fished 4 on the boat and basically went to find some spots and get to know the area. Although I wanted to focus on crappie my wife and friends just wanted to catch fish. Needless to say we brough home enough for a nice fish for a fish fry. We caught 4 nice cat fish around 25 nice bream and only 2 crappie keepers as all that I could really get under the fishing circumstances where some smaller fish. It was a beautiful day to be on this lake and I feel better about the area. Hopefully next trip I can focus more on the crappie as that is the preference I have on any fresh water lake. I am starting vacation next week and would love some feed back on spots to haul in some slabs. Being the week of a full moon and good weather on the horizon I felt like this was a good time to fill up the fridge with some nice slabs. I am new to Denham Springs and would love some feed back on some spots maybe closer to me as getting to this lake took a good hour and a half. We enjoyed our time on the water for my first time launching my boat in Louisana. One thing I was extremely disappointed in was all the red tape I had to go thru just to get legal in the state. What a trip that was. Well any feedback for me would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to connecting with all of you die hard crappie fishermen and building new fishing freindships here in Louisana.
