Default "Larto Fun Tourney" Uncle Bud's Aug. 22nd

Well it seems like the voters are favoring Uncle Buds on Aug. the 22nd:D There wasnt a deadline on the polls when Johnny put them up but we had mentioned Aug 1st might be a good cut off point. At any rate it appears this will be the Time and Place for the Action:D

Im still a go if my work dont change up my schedule, but who knows, I am scheduled to be coming off Gryd shift that Fri morning the 21st. I thought it may be cool to come on down early and maybe camp that night before and do some fishing that Friday afternoon. I will keep it in mind anyhow,
I hope to see you all there!

I suppose this would be a good thread to talk about the details of this Fun Tourney and what we want to bring as far a fixins for the meal! Yum-Yum
I will bring my Cajun Cooker and Bottle along with my Cast Iron pot. Everyone may want to bring your own drinks iced down that usually worked best before, cuts out need for clean Ice and cups. I suppose we will still need some Plates, Napkins, Ketchup, fish fry, and taters. Try to keep it simple enough, and make it all about the FUN!

Also, I still have the scales and stuff from when me and Skipper (Mo'nBack)did the Tournament stuff a few years back.. its nothig fancy but it works pretty good. So I can bring that too:D

Ok here it is all ready.... so yall start Plannng Away:D

Brandon, sounds good.. I can bring some paper plates, paper towels, and maybe a couple bags of fries or tater tots.. Justin will probaby go with me. Thinking about leaving around 3 when he gets out of school and heading up there. Hopefully we can get a couple hours of fishing in before dark, then we will sleep in the truck and be ready for the next morning.. This will save us from having to drive 2.5hrs the morning of the tourney.

Brendon, so they still have the pavillion? My brother and some of his salesman are having a getaway during the spring, and the way I understood him, they were renting all the cabins and the bunkhouse that sleeps 8. Last time we were up there, there was talk of them turning the pavillion into a bunkhouse.. Just wondering what was up with that. Or maybe they are building a bunkhouse also and keeping the pavillion.
And it looks like the launch fee went up a couple of bucks too. But that don't matter, because I think we are gonna stay over at youngbloods and launch there, mainly because we want to try in the bayou first and it will save a long boatride at daylight.

    Thanks for the info.

    Default Got a cabin. . .

I called the other day and reserved a cabin for Melissa and me, for Friday and Saturday night. We're good to go so far. May be running on trolling motor only but we are planning to be there so far. Treefrog and Johnny, I have a few whole crappie (they were too small to fillet) and a small bag of fillets, will bring them if you think we need them....just didn't want to bring them and then they not get used. Let me know, OK? Treefrog and Johnny...PM me your cell numbers (if that's OK) so when we get there we can look yall up. Also...has anyone heard from Slabhunter and Anna?

Dru, I don't know what time we will get off the water friday evening, I was thinking about bringing a 5lb box of smoked boudin and eating on that..lol. But if yall do decide to cook some fish friday night, we will try and make it over there in time to eat with yall, I just don't want to be the one making the decision.
