    Thumbs up Boooooooom!

Our long awaited trip to KY Lake…….. Well, it’s like this. We, (my wife and I) left home about 8am on Sun. 4/5. We arrived at Sportsman’s Lodge and Marina at 12:30. Right away I wanted to put the boat in and secure it in our slip. BOOOOOOOOM!
I had a heart attack, yes heart attack. After about 20 minutes I’m on my way to Paducah, about 45 min. away to Western Baptist Hospital. They have a Heart Cath Lab that is manned 24/7. After arriving there I was in the Heart Cath Lab in about 20 min. They found a blockage in a previously placed stent and a blood clot which they evacuated and placed another stent. I was released Tuesday afternoon and we went back to Jonathan Creek to the cabin to take it easy. I am very lucky. NO fishing or boating. Dr.’s orders. I’m back at home now and feeling pretty good. I do have to take it easy for a while, but I’m sure fishing falls in to that category. I see my Cardiologist this Friday and will get a further update from him.
A special THANKS to all for the help and kindness shown to me and my wife durnig this UNexpected time.
The crappie that I saw at the cleaning station were HUGE. The weather was somewhat "yuck" Oh well, there's always another day and next year, Thank God. and those HE choose to watch over me.

Glad Your better, What cabin were you at, We were in the Double wide T23 beside the lodge. You did not mis much as far as fishing!!

    We had a 2lb 7oz big fish for the week 2 2.1 and several 1.7 -1.4's
Bad winds, cold temps, low fronts, east winds and pulled the lake a little to top it off!!!!!

    Default Crappie Pop....

Take it from someone who knows the business. I was over a very progressive cardiac program for 25+ years. If you listen to your cardiologists, do your risk management modifications (life style changes), take you Plavix and aspirin (and cholesterol meds if indicated), you should have many, many crappie trips in your future. And, as an added benefit, the world will be a little bit better place with you in it! By the way, I've always heard that the Good Lord doesn't count the days you spend fishing against you. :D Hey all of you out there. Any one of us could be Crappie Pop tomorrow. When you see one of the many, many dedicated healthcare professionals out there, thank 'em. OK, I'm off my soapbox......today.

Be thankful that they took you straight to Baptist. The closer options are not an option in my book. Lourdes in Paducah also has a great cardiac unit. I have 1st hand experience there.
