Calipari's the guy I wanted two years ago: great coach, excellent recruiter, innovative offense. I had some concerns about prior recruiting practices, but Todd and Barnhart apparently contacted half the basketball world to check him out.

I liked Izzo, too, but wasn't excited about his offense.

I think he will work out well and will bring some better talent to the court. Can't win w/out the players and I think he will do well convincing them to come to KY. His offensive style is fun to watch as well.

I feel bad for him, too, but he will be better off in the long run. He will get another coaching job and will do well.

UK was not good for him as much as he was not good for UK, IMO.

It takes a coach that will relish all the attention that the coach will recieve. Calapari will be that kind of person. The writing was on the wall when Billy Clyde said he was not an ambassador for the university. Very high pressure and high reward job.
