Exclamation Ky Crappie.com Get Together ... Date

By the slimmest of margins ... the 1st KY Crappie.com Get Together will occur on Green River Lake, on March 28th.

Now we need to decide which ramp, and whether or not we are going to have just a friendly get together and member meet, or if we're going to have enough people (and time) to plan on a cookout/fishfry. The "place" (ramp) we decide on, could influence whether or not a cookout is possible.

Personally, and since it is the 1st one planned ... I vote for it to be just a meet/greet/fish session. It's not that I'm opposed to a cookout ... 'cause I can always get into the eating of some fresh caught/cooked Crappie :D
I just want the greatest amount of participation, with the least amount of preparation ... at least for the first trip. But, I will go with the flow, if the majority wants to have a cookout.

Please post here, if you plan on coming on that date ... and whether or not you want a cookout (weather permitting). Also, let us know if you will have an empty seat, and don't mind hooking up with a non-boater ... and/or how many will be in your party. Also, vote for your preferrence for the launch site.

I plan on making it down there on March 28th.
I plan on having a boat/partner (subject to change)
    I vote no cookout.
I vote for the State Park Campgrounds as a launch site.
I vote for initial meet up time to be 730AM-830AM ... then go fish ... with a 2PM followup meeting (at ramp site) for comparing notes & sharing session (or cookout, if majority wants one).

If a cookout is voted in ... we will have to have volunteers to bring the necessary equipment for cooking/eating, fish cleaning, and a suitable place to have it (which may influence the ramp area we choose ).

We all know that last minute things can/will pop up ... and cancellations can/will happen. Being a one day event, it will create a problem if persons responsible for bringing the necessary cookout items, cannot make it. Bare that in mind, when voting for/against a cookout. I'm not trying to be a spoil-sport, to those that would like to have a cookout ... I'm just trying to cover all the bases, and insure that things work out as planned.

The meet/greet/fish idea sounds good to me. Since it is a little short notice it may be easier to do the cooking at the next one. Any ramp is fine with me. I found out my brother's wife, who is pregnant, may be induced around that time (a little earlier than expected). Hopefully I'll be able to make but we'll have to see when it gets closer.

    Take care,
    Greenfish

Man I wish I could be there but I will be tanning my big butt in Hilton Head where no one seems to know how to fish. Hopefully I can catch the next one.
