But seriously folks ... unless you fish a lake on a regular basis & stay on top of their movements/habits, you're just not liable to be catching a limit of quality fish.
Out of all the lakes in this state that I've fished over the years, my biggest Crappie have come from Herrington Lake .... but, that was nearly 50yrs ago, and I wouldn't even know where to start fishing there nowadays.

My old bosses dad use to fish Herrington & man he caught a lot of good crappie there. It was pretty impressive for sure.
I would think with Livescope, Herrington might be a little easier to crappie fish than in years past. Lot of good fish there. Finding them is the issue.

Fish the OH River and tributaries if you are anywhere close. Easily some of the biggest avg size crappie in this part of the country. And from now til end of year is the best time!
