Thread: 10/23 Taylorsville lake

I’m all over the place. Right now I’m not seeing much going on at chowning. I have been fishing the secondary channels and brush off points all around the dam area. It seems not to matter much where I put in but last few was state park. I have seen lots of fish deep ( 20 ft ) but all my fish have been caught at 6-8 ft pushing jigs out in front of the boat. Now, I’m by no means an expert, I’m learning the 14 ft rods and it’s quite comical in the wind. I have not done very well in the beech creek area but the water draw down may be the reason for that. I did go chowning ln last Thursday and had not one hit. Fished around that area for 4 hrs. One just never knows but it sure beats sitting here. Had enough of that a couple years ago.
