Way to hang in there! Looks good!

Tried em out today and to my surprise the fishing was pretty good. I had a time controlling my boat when the gusts would sneak up on me, but the fish bit well all day. I found them most active between 12-18 feet down today in typical prespawn locales. Not sure the winning weight for the KCT tournament going on but I would say my best seven would have weighed 3.5 lbs. I did not catch many bigs yesterday but I’m glad ai stayed and muscled it out. I’m at the ramp now about to launch I’ll add some to this post later. 27 degrees right now gonna be a scorcher.

Very cold and windy, the wind definitely had me fishing were I could control the boat vs where I really wanted to be. Caught 30 or so and kept 6. The bite was tough and the fish were stacked up and holding very tight to cover. If you’re gonna call in and fish do it Wednesday, spring windy weather is dominating and we are at the mercy of it. Y’all be safe out there.

BuckeyeCrappie, CentKyPaddler thanked you for this post
It was a cold and windy one indeed. I too was surprised by the bite. Biggest was 13 1/4 with a couple more over 12. I was catching most of mine 8-12’ deep in 20-25’ of water. Glad I got out. Just put on a new Terrova and found out I have some electrical issues. Got to get that straightened out before they really turn on.
Lo
Admittedly I am not an electrician. I had a 24 volt Motor Guide before, so I basically hooked up the Terrova the same way, except I put a 60 amp breaker on the hot side as recommended. What is going on is that when I get to 4 power on speed, my graph goes off and when I get to 8 power, the trolling motor quits. Both will return to normal operation at lower speeds. I think I know the problem with the trolling motor.
I have a 24 volt 40 amp breaker on the negative side. I believe that is kicking on the higher speeds once the amperage gets over 40. You might ask, why I have that there. Well, it never dawned on me that it would cause a problem but I had two of these on my pervious wiring to accommodate to floor foot power buttons that ran through the breakers. Rather than butt splice the new trolling motor negative side directly to the battery, I just ran it through the two posts on the breaker. I think I just need to remove it.
As for the graph, it was working fine wired through a step down transformer taking 24 volts to 12, which is required for this graph. It has a 5 amp inline fuse, which hasn't blown. I've read and been told that it would be best to hook it to my starting battery, so I may just do that.
As a man heavily involved into electricity of all types
All of your problems will be solved by removing the transformer, and another 49 amp breaker on the neutral side, and either wiring your graph off of the starting battery or a separate stand alone. I suspect What is happening is you are getting a voltage drop when you are getting into high gear on your terrova and that will most def shut your graph down. That’s why you never want your electronics on the same batteries as your trolling motor. What size wire did you run for your terrova? Length of run? If you are over 15 feet on a 24v model most likely you need 6awg wire. If you are running 8 awg you may indeed be undersized.
Start with the things you know are wrong then circle back we will get her goin.
