Default Vandalism at Buckhorn Bay Ramp

From the Marshall County Kentucky Sheriff's Office Facebook page:

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on this or any other crime can contact Deputy Howell at the Sheriff's Office at 270-527-3112. It is terrible when you cannot go fishing without worrying about what some criminal is doing back at the ramp. I hope they catch them and make them pay.

I always tell people to avoid double creek ramp, above Barkley Dam for the same reason. I hate that this is happening somewhere else.

It is kind of a moot point for me as I have sold my boat, but I think the Pay Launches are a much better idea. Usually there is someone around those most of the day.

A few years ago I launched at the old Sledd Creek ramp (before it was paved) and when I came back in I beached my Jon along side another boat and there was a guy in the lot who had lost his trailer. He had locked the trailer to the hitch but his hitch pin was not the locking type and they took the hitch and the trailer.

You have to pay a ramp fee or yearly fee at the Big 4 lakes in Mississippi, and they have had a bad rash of low life's prowling around those ramps the past couple of years.
Just because you pay doesn't give you an edge over the criminals.
